Last night, I almost forgot to look up at the moon! As I was walking to dinner (my boyfriend and I ate at Slice last night), I remembered and looked up at the moon and snapped a picture on my iPhone. The moon phase was first quarter, though in the picture it looks like a full moon. I think the reason for this is that it was a hazy night, so the moisture or fog in the air caused the light from the moon (which is actually the light from the sun reflecting off the surface of the moon) to kind of glow. The sky was a bit cloudy, but in person, I could clearly see the first quarter phase.
